Essential Functions: Performs common testing procedures and reports test results. Drag Edit Delete Performs instrument maintenance and calibration and troubleshooting. Drag Edit Delete Maintains supplies needed for performance of tests.Drag Edit Delete Performs collections, clerical duties and administration.Drag Edit Delete Responsible for order and result entry into laboratory information systems.Drag Edit Delete Delivers direct patient care appropriate to the age of the patient served Reports to: Director of Laboratory Minimum Education Associate degree from an accredited institution as a Medical Laboratory Technician; or equivalent in accordance with the CLIA requirements Required Medical Lab Technician Trainee License is acceptable provided graduation from an accredited Medical Lab Technician Program has been completed and will test within 1 year of hire.Drag Edit Delete Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.Drag Edit Delete Required Skills Licenses: Registry from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or equivalent registry and West Virginia State Laboratory Technician licensure OR Medical Lab Technician Trainee License is acceptable provided graduation from an accredited Medical Lab Technician Program has been completed and will test within 1 year of hire.
