Job Description:
Job Description Summary The Graduate Assistant will assist in
supporting the project goals, objectives, and activities of the
Transitional Age Youth ( TAY ) Project. The overall goal of the TAY
project is to develop recommendations for policy and practice
changes to better support transition age youth to mitigate adverse
behavioral health outcomes and health disparities. The GA will
report directly to the Project Director of the Transitional Age
Youth project, which is housed within Marshall University’s Center
of Excellence for Recovery. The Graduate Assistant will work
closely with the TAY Behavioral Health Researcher, along with the
Center of Excellence’s Managing Director and other Marshall faculty
on the research and training project. Job duties: · Assist the
Project Director in reaching the grant goals, objectives and
activities. · Assist the PD and Project Researcher in the
collection of data from key informants and other stakeholders
through interviews, focus groups, and online surveys. · Assist the
Project Researcher with literature review. · Assist the Project
Researcher with IRB submission and developing questions for
interviews and surveys. · Collaborate with Project Director and the
Training Coordinator on curriculum using best practices. · Assist
the Training Coordinator with hosting trainings and delivery of
continuing education unit certifications for trainees. · Support
the Researcher developing reports that outline data collected,
training activities and outcomes to partners as well as assisting
in final report with recommendations. · Support the TAY PD, Project
Researcher and Training Coordinator with the coordination and
development of research in best/emerging best practices related to
transitional age youth. · Assist in all other duties as assigned
pertaining to the project.
