Electrical Engineer Engineer I Perform assignments requiring the
application of electrical engineering knowledge in activities such
as planning, design, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, project
support, and general plant operations. Assist senior engineers with
tasks involving power distribution equipment, breakers,
transformers, motors, protection systems, and related plant
systems. Engineer II Obtain, compile, and analyze engineering data
to support equipment reliability, efficiency, and safe operations.
Participate in testing and maintenance of electrical and plant
equipment, including switchgear, relays, breakers, and auxiliary
systems. Assist in planning, budgeting, and coordinating
maintenance and small project activities. Support engineering
studies and investigations and help develop recommended actions for
operational or equipment issues. Engineer III Perform advanced
engineering assignments with limited supervision. Lead
investigations, testing, and system studies related to plant
electrical systems, equipment performance, and operational
reliability. Guide planning, budgeting, and coordination of
electrical and plant-wide engineering activities. Support
reliability programs and RCAs; recommend and implement solutions
that improve system performance. Provide leadership to teams or
work groups to meet defined objectives. Engineer IV Conduct complex
studies and investigations involving plant systems and recommend
improvements, modernization efforts, and long-term strategies.
Assume supervisory responsibilities as assigned. Direct and oversee
planning, budgeting, and coordination of engineering work,
including maintenance programs, capital projects, and system
upgrades. Provide leadership in reliability, asset management, and
the development and application of engineering standards across
plant operations. Expected to align personal goals with OVEC/IKEC

Responsibilities Recommend repair, replacement, or modernization of
electrical equipment to improve reliability and reduce forced
outages. Support plant maintenance and ICE personnel with
electrical, control, and operational issues. Provide engineering
support for Ovation DCS and PLC systems, including troubleshooting
and configuration coordination. Plan and perform performance
testing on electrical equipment and systems to verify proper
operation and efficiency. Compile and interpret test data and
operating trends; summarize findings and recommend actions. Support
design, improvement, and standardization of electrical and plant
systems and procedures. Execute asset ownership responsibilities,
including condition monitoring, lifecycle planning, and failure
analysis. Investigate equipment disturbances, mis operations, and
performance issues. Analyze operational data to identify trends,
inefficiencies, and corrective actions. Participate in Root Cause
Analyses for equipment or system reliability events. Oversee or
assist in calibration, testing, and maintenance of electrical
instruments and protective devices. Troubleshoot electrical and
plant system issues and provide engineering guidance for corrective
actions. Stay current with electrical standards, best practices,
and reliability improvements. Maintain compliance with NFPA 70/70E,
OSHA, and company safety requirements; ensure safe practices when
supervising. Investigate causes of complaint and assist when
necessary. Keep informed of the latest practices and procedures in
engineering and consistently apply these to ensure efficiency and
economy. Perform duties in accordance with all applicable federal
and state safety laws and regulations, and all applicable company
safety rules and operating procedures; when supervising others,
assure that safe work practices are followed and conduct safety
meetings; make suggestions for the improvement of the safety
program and encourage others to do so. Carry out within the
