General Summary:
The Staff Psychiatrist will perform psychiatric evaluations, daily
patient rounding, and treatment and discharge planning.
Provides psychiatric services to adults and children with serious
and persistent mental illnesses.
Evaluates patients by interviewing patient, family, and other
persons; conducting physical examinations; observing behaviors;
reviewing medical history and related documents; selecting,
administering, and interpreting psychological tests; ordering
laboratory tests and evaluating results.
Knowledge of methods and procedures in the field of general
medicine; and of principles of the development, implementation, and
documentation of individualized care and treatment plans.
Regular discussions with patients about their problems; help them
find solutions through changes in their behavioral patterns, the
exploration of their past experiences, or group and family therapy
sessions.
Total communication (verbal and written) and consultation with
clients, center staff, and other agencies as requested.
A successful candidate will have a background of working in a
matrixed, team-based environment, experience with adult (and
pediatric) populations, and passion for helping persons with mental
illness achieve optimal physical, mental, and social health and
wellness outcomes.
Hospital for Behavioral Health is looking for a Child and
Adolescent Inpatient and Residential Treatment Psychiatrist. The
New Physician must specialize in C-A Psychiatry and provide
coverage for a small C-A Inpatient unit and Residential treatment.
Fulltime employment offering Salary and benefits. Salary is a
negotiated figure based on the candidates training, credentials,
scope of work and experience. Benefits will include Malpractice,
Health insurance, matching 401k, PTO, CME and more. Weekend call is
1:4 and weekday nights is by phone only with the Physicain being
the second call after APRN is first called
Qualifications:
Board Certified (BC) or Board Eligible (BE) Psychiatrist
Traditional Office Hours with Flexible Call Schedule
