Job Description:
Marshall Orthopaedics, a university-affiliated physician group,
is currently seeking qualified candidates for a hand/upper
extremity position within our department. This position, with a
practice location at our academic medical center in Huntington,
W.Va., will provide for a practice that is primarily focused on the
subspecialty of hand/upper extremity. Marshall Orthopaedics is an
academic department affiliated with the Marshall University Joan C.
Edwards School of Medicine. We support an orthopaedic residency and
train 3 residents per year. The department's hand/upper extremity
division currently has two partners, Dr. Alan Koester and Dr.
Steven Novotny. Due to rapidly increasing volume, we are recruiting
an additional hand/upper extremity surgeon to our department. We
offer an attractive, university employee-based benefits package

with respect to other academic medical centers. This position also
offers the opportunity to be involved in resident and medical
student education and orthopaedic research activities. Applicants
must have successfully completed an orthopaedic residency program
and an orthopaedic hand surgery fellowship. Applicants must be
board-certified or board-eligible at the time of application.
Applicants must also be able to obtain an unrestricted West
Virginia medical license. About Marshall Orthopaedics
Marshall Orthopaedics is an academic-based physician group
affiliated with Marshall University. Based out of Huntington, West
Virginia, Marshall Orthopaedics has a network of clinical
affiliations and provides patient care within offices in West
Virginia, Kentucky and Ohio. Our physicians are fellowship-trained
in the full spectrum of orthopaedic subspecialties. We support an

Cabell Huntington Hospital is a not-for-profit, regional referral
center with 303 staffed beds. Located in Huntington, West Virginia,
Cabell Huntington cares for patients from more than 29 counties
throughout West Virginia, eastern Kentucky and southern Ohio.
Opened in 1956, it is also a teaching hospital and is affiliated
with the Marshall University Schools of Medicine, Nursing and
