Job Description:

Seeking a Registered Nurse for the intake department at Western Tidewater Regional Jail with corrections experience a plus.
Assess physical, psychological, and social health of inmates; document assessments and make triage decisions.
Develop and implement individual treatment plans, utilize approved protocols, and coordinate referrals.
Administer medications, including IV therapy, and manage mental health and nutritional plans per physician orders.
Chart encounters using SOAP method; communicate with staff and provide nursing leadership.
Participate in quality assurance, promote safety programs, and support staff development.
Qualifications include RN license, BLS certification, CPR certification, at least 2 years clinical experience, and corrections experience is a plus.
