qualified ER/Trauma RN in Charleston, West Virginia, 25304! Pay
Information $2,477 per week About The Position Job Title:
Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room
Holding Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours
(19:00 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience
required; 1 year minimum in specialty experience required. License:
WV or Compact RN License required; pending license accepted.
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI required. Must-Have: -
MS/Telemetry, Telemetry, and ER Holding Experience preferred. - IV
Therapy/Phlebotomy skills: Accessing ports, blood product
administration, peripheral line care/management, starting IVs. -
Familiarity with heparin protocols and management of cardiac drips
(no titration). - Experience with neurological/psychiatric
conditions, including CVA, seizure disorders, and substance
withdrawal. - Knowledge of respiratory/thoracic support, including
CPAP/BiPAP, high flow nasal cannula, non-invasive airway
management, and ventilated patient care (preferred). - Experience
with Cerner charting system is required. Description: This position
is for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room Holding specialty.
The role requires working night shifts, specifically 12 hours from
19:00 to 07:00. This is a travel position that focuses on providing
high-quality patient care to adult and geriatric populations. The
patient-to-nurse ratio is 5:1. The position requires weekend work
every other weekend. Candidates must be willing to float to the
Emergency Department if necessary. The ability to work
collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team is essential.
Travelers must comply with vaccination requirements for seasonal
flu unless a medical exemption is provided. Strong communication
skills and the ability to function in a fast-paced environment are
critical. The facility is a Level IV Trauma Center and a major
teaching hospital. Comprehensive experience in an emergency setting
is preferred, alongside a strong foundation in critical care
nursing principles. Each candidate must adhere to protocols for
