Parkersburg, West Virginia, 26101! Job Title: ER Registered Nurse

critical thinking and assessment skills Description: This position
is for an Emergency Room Registered Nurse. The unit has a total of
44 beds and 3 trauma bays. There are dedicated areas for low and
high acuity patients. Triage is performed in a designated room
based on patient acuity. The unit experiences an average of 135
patient visits per day. Patient-to-nurse ratios vary based on
acuity levels. Emergency services include advanced cardiopulmonary
assessment. Common diagnoses include abdominal pain, chest pain,
and altered mental status. The environment contains a high volume
of behavioral health cases. Team collaboration is essential for
managing patient care effectively. Registered Nurses are
responsible for drawing blood and administering medications. The
charting system utilized in this unit is EPIC. Nurses must
understand and perform basic triage processes. There is a
commitment to patient safety and a supportive team atmosphere.
Shifts require weekend work as scheduled. Team players are
encouraged to contribute to stocking and maintaining supplies. The
unit operates with security protocols for patient and staff safety.
All staff members are expected to assist with patients as needed.
