ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Charleston, West Virginia. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 01/22/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Work 12-hour night shifts, 3 days per week with every other weekend required • 36 or 48 hour contract options available with 36 hours guaranteed • Care for adult medical and surgical patients battling cancer, palliative care patients, and provide family education on oncological processes • Also care for urology and telemetry patients on 29-bed unit • Patient ratios: 4-5:1 during days, 5-6:1 during nights • Float to like units within scope as needed to meet facility requirements • Minimum 2 years RN experience required • Required certifications: BLS, ONCC/ONS (chemotherapy certification) • Skills required: Telemetry monitoring, central line draws, port care, blood administration, PCA pumps, bone marrow aspiration assistance, Pleurx chest tubes • Chemotherapy administration experience preferred (within 1 year) • Work with special equipment including PCA pumps, CBI, feeding pumps, and bladder scanners • Use Cerner charting system • Wear royal blue/white scrubs • 16-hour orientation required • Complete 2-4 hours of non-billable modules prior to start date • WV or Compact RN license required (pending license acceptable) • Must live greater than 100 miles from facility (75-99 miles considered case-by-case) Facility: This Level IV Trauma Center is a major teaching hospital and member of the Council of Teaching Hospitals and Health Systems (COTH).
