Job Description Pluto Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Float for a travel nursing job in Parkersburg, West Virginia. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Float - Discipline: RN - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Must live over 50 miles from WVU Camden Clark Medical Center, no locals accepted What units are included in the float pool All inpatients units based on competency (ICU, Step-down, medical/surgical). Ratios Depends on unit. Med/surg=1:6. Step-down = 1:4/5. ICU = 1-2/3 Required Certifications BLS, ACLS Common diagnoses/Types of patients Cardiac patients, ortho/neuro, surgical, medical – varies by unit Experience or 'Must have' skills Med/Surg background. Step-down Are RNs required to titrate drips? Yes in the step-down areas only RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc) Cpap and BiPap can be on all units. Vents are in ICU. Chronic trach vents can go to step-down Is there tele on this unit? Monitor Techs? RNs read strips? Yes. We have monitor techs. CVU reads own strips.
