Opportunity – Medical Surgical/Oncology RN – West Virginia Start
Date: February 19, 2026 Location: Charleston, West Virginia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule:
3x12 hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, weekdays with every other
weekend; 36 or 48 hour contract options available Highlights:
29-bed adult Medical Surgical/Oncology unit within a Level IV
Trauma Center and major teaching hospital Care for medical and
surgical patients battling cancer, palliative care patients, and
urological and telemetry patients Patient ratios: 4-5:1 days, 5-6:1
nights EMR: Cerner; interdisciplinary support includes IV teams
Facility will consider strong candidates without Oncology
experience Flexible scheduling with blocked schedule requests
accommodated; 36 hours guaranteed Requirements: Active West
Virginia or Compact RN License (pending license acceptable) Minimum
2 years RN experience required BLS certification required (American
Heart Association); ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy certification required
Skills: Telemetry monitoring, central line draws, port care, blood
product administration, PCA pumps, bone marrow aspiration assist,
Pleurx chest tubes; chemotherapy administration preferred Must
reside greater than 100 miles from facility (75-100 miles
considered case-by-case) Minimum 2 manager or charge nurse
references within the past 2 years Flu vaccination required during
flu season (October 1 – March 31) unless medical exemption
