DESCRIPTION: The LPN is responsible for ensuring the safety and
well-being of persons served/clients as they go through the
rehabilitation process. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conducts Nursing Assessments and monitoring of clients Member of
the Treatment Team. Handles the medication management; trains staff
on medication dispensing. Ensures Universal Precautions of the
center. Facilitates Health Education groups including General
Health Education, Medication/Drug Interactions. Observe and assess
clients for clinical signs and symptoms and follow the prescribed
course of treatment. Determines and implements specific protocol as
designated by the Doctor. The Nurse is expected to protect the
privacy of all client information in accordance with OVP Health
privacy policies, procedures and practices, as required by federal
and state law, and in accordance with the general principle of
professionalism as a health care provider. Maintain a respectful
relationship with clients. Maintain confidentiality at all times
displaying a professional disposition towards fellow staff.
Maintain a positive working relationship with staff and consumers
alike. Bring policy/personnel issues to supervision as they arise.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must have an Associates or Bachelor's Degree from
approved Nursing school. Active license as a LPN in the State of
Ohio 2 or more years of experience as a LPN preferred Substance
abuse experience preferred COMPETENCIES: Ability to interact with a
multi-disciplinary team to assist in facets of the recovery program
relating to physical health. Have the ability to communicate with
other staff and assist in ensuring the safety of the client.
Flexibility to adapt to schedule changes and assumption of
responsibilities not delineated in the job description which is
related to work as a member of an addiction treatment team.
Attention to detail and organization a must. Computer literate with
experience in a Windows environment. Ability to work independently
with minimal supervision Ability to prioritize work and
work-related responsibilities PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Physical demands
described are representative of those that must be routinely met by
an employee to successfully perform the essential duties of this

Ability to lift minimum 25 pounds. Ability to perform job
responsibilities in a facility without elevator or mechanical
transportation. Operates a computer and keyboard POSITION
TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK: This is a full-time position. Hours
are scheduled to accommodate a 24/7 facility. Hours include some
holidays. WORK ENVIRONMENT: This job operates in a inpatient
