Job Description Staff Today is seeking a local contract Respiratory Therapist for a local contract job in Charleston, West Virginia. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Respiratory Therapist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Local Contract Health Advocates Network is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to work at a Facility in Charleston, WV . These are registry positions with our company. Pay Rate: $52 / hour Job Responsibilities: - Assess patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary problems - Administer oxygen therapy and breathing treatments - Operate and monitor ventilators and other respiratory equipment - Perform breathing tests (pulmonary function tests) - Suction airways and manage artificial airways - Respond to emergency situations (code blue, CPR support) - Educate patients on inhalers and breathing exercises - Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as ordered - Document care and update medical records - Work closely with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare staff Minimum Qualifications: - At least one year (12 months) of experience as a Respiratory Therapist - Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy. - Current West Virginia State license for Respiratory Therapy. - Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification. - Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification. - Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
