a qualified Home Health RN in Elizabeth, West Virginia, 26143! Job
Title: Home Health Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered
Nurse) Specialty: Home Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8-Hour Days
Hours per Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday Experience:
Minimum of 2 years required License: Required Certifications: BLS
(AHA) Must-Have: - Home health experience - Ability to provide
general assessments, education on medications, and disease
processes - Capability to teach caregivers to provide care after
discharge - Skills in wound care and IV infusion Description: The
Home Health Registered Nurse will cover three counties. The role
involves providing home health visits for patient assessments. The
nurse will educate patients on their medications and disease
processes. This includes teaching caregivers how to provide care
once home health services are discontinued. Monitoring current
illnesses that led to home health orders is part of the
responsibilities. Routine visits will account for approximately 6
visits per day. These visits may include standard visits, start of
care assessments, and re-evaluations. On-call duties rotate among
staff and typically average 5 nights per month. Evening and weekend
visits may be required for patient needs. Examples of patient
scenarios could include assisting with IV management or wound care.
Usual respiratory equipment found at home includes oxygen and
nebulizers. The nurse will work with adult patients, with
occasional pediatric care. There are no additional job duties
related to utilization review. Home health aides are available
during weekdays. Scrub color is royal blue. Admin personnel are
available for after-hours questions and concerns. Shifts are
primarily Monday to Friday, with possible weekend on-call duties.
Weekends may involve responding to unexpected discharges from
hospitals. Holidays will be shared evenly among staff. No floating
