Emergency Medicine APP Opportunity (Locum Tenens)

Location: Cambridge, Gallipolis, Jackson & Pomeroy, Ohio

Daily Care Solutions is assisting with Emergency Department coverage needs across multiple hospital-based emergency medicine sites in southeastern Ohio. The client anticipates ongoing needs for Emergency Medicine APP coverage, including both Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants.

Exact shift dates are still being finalized; however, providers interested in coverage should be prepared to begin credentialing and application processes promptly in order to secure upcoming shifts.

This opportunity offers exposure to community and rural emergency medicine environments with collaborative physician and APP support teams.

• Evaluate and manage acute illnesses and injuries in the Emergency Department
• Perform emergency assessments, stabilization, and treatment planning
• Coordinate care with ED physicians, nursing staff, specialists, and ancillary teams
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharge planning as appropriate
• Perform standard emergency medicine procedures within APP scope of practice
• Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation
• Collaborate closely with supervising physicians and hospital leadership

• Community hospital Emergency Department setting
• Approx. 24,000 annual ED visits
• 16-bed Emergency Department
• Epic EMR
• 24-hour physician coverage
• 24-hour APP coverage

• Multiple 24/7 emergency care locations throughout southeastern Ohio
• Coverage may include Gallipolis, Jackson, and Pomeroy locations
• Rural/community emergency medicine environment
• Collaborative physician and APP staffing models

• Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant certification/licensure
• Prior Emergency Medicine experience strongly preferred
• Comfortable working in fast-paced ED settings
• Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and hospital staff
• Strong communication and documentation skills required

• Active Ohio license/ IMLC
• Recent Emergency Department experience
• Flexible scheduling availability (days, nights, weekends)
• Epic EMR experience preferred for OhioHealth SMC
• Comfortable working in rural/community Emergency Department settings
• Clean background and credentialing history preferred
