Job Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of gastrointestinal procedures, including upper and lower GI endoscopy, with biopsies and dilatation as required
• Coverage for 24-hour call on specific holidays
• Manage a case load of 12-15 procedures per shift, with potential additional cases
• Participate in weekday night and weekend call rotations
• Conduct patient encounters, manage treatments, and collaborate with healthcare staff

Qualifications

• Board Certified in Gastroenterology
• Certifications in ACLS and BLS required
• Expertise in Upper and Lower GI procedures and related interventions
• 3 years of fellowship in Gastroenterology preferred

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday: 7:30 AM - 3:15 PM
• Weekday Call: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• Specific 24-hour call on November 26 & 27 and December 24, 25, 26

Skills

• Proficiency in EGD, sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy, and related procedures
• Strong diagnostic skills in gastrointestinal medicine
• Effective communication and collaborative abilities in a healthcare setting
• Capability to manage emergency and non-emergency GI conditions as per facility needs
