Job Description:

The Management and Program Assistant (Clinic Profile Management/ADPAC) is at the Hershel "Woody" Williams VA Medical Center (VAMC) in Huntington, West Virginia, within the Health Administration Service (HAS). The primary purpose of this position is to perform Program Assistant duties, responsible for providing a high level of complex and highly skilled administrative and data support related to clinic profile management. Duties include, but are not limited to: Oversight for all clinic profiles/scheduling grids and ongoing analysis of supply and demand throughout the medical center. Ensures accurate creation, validation, inactivation, and management of clinic profiles. Provides service level clinical data reporting as requested, accurate and timely data retrieval pertaining to clinic management, providing technical advice and guidance as necessary to assist services with troubleshooting clinic profile management, and access and clinic utilization issues related to managing supply and demand. Reviews reports, records, and statistical computations for accuracy and propriety for clinic profile management. Performs supply and demand/capacity analysis and data reviews based on clinic profiles and utilization and provide recommendations and reports to the HAS management team. Ensures analytics to support supply and demand needs are being met through the use of accurate and timely clinic management tools. Establishes in-depth training for services as necessary to ensure staff are properly educated and accountable for clinical data management. Serves as a point of contact and consultant for clinic profiling, clinic access, clinic utilization, and clinical data auditing. Serves as an Automated Data Processing Application Coordinator (ADPAC), supporting training in the use of and implementation of the Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS). Provides ADP/VISTA support training and coordinating with each section on the integration and the consistent implementation of various programs, routines and procedures at the service level. Develops and implements training; identifies problem areas and defines training needs and establishes organized training that address specific problems. Other duties as assigned.
