Job Description:

Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas. Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems. Works from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions. Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format. Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions.

Role purpose:

Responsible for providing subject matter expertise, leading and maintaining the sites optical yield continuous improvement process.

Major accountabilities:

Safety:

Work safely day to day and look for opportunities.

Lead safety improvement(s) annually.

Quality :

Lead and complete quality records pertaining to optical yield on time.

Complete all training on time.

Provide support to other functions for quality records.

People Development:

Drive optical yield understanding, internally and externally.

Drive personal growth to continuously improve.

Delivery:

Provide optical yield data and develop recommended actions.

Complete assigned PBL and yield actions on time.

Continuous improvement of the optical yield process.

Manage pin blank inventory to maintain an adequate base level optimization needs.

Manage the poly change process.

Lead yield team meeting and drive optical portion for site yield meetings.

Drive changes in optical yield targets when needed.

Cost:

Manage time to effectively meet tasks.

Drive improvements in optical yield.

Qualifications:

Minimum:

High School Diploma or equivalent

The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English

3 Years of Relevant Experience

Preferred:

Associates or Bachelors Degree

Project management

Proficient oral and written communication skills, problem solving, analytical skills and continuous improvement experience (Lean & Six Sigma Manufacturing, TPM, etc.).
